Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information the Qwickmart app and website use, why it needs it, where it is kept, who sees it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have.
Information the app uses
- Your mobile number, when you sign in to place an order. If you continue with Truecaller, we also receive the name on your Truecaller profile.
- Your name, if you add it in Account. It is optional.
- Delivery addresses you save, with the receiver's name and phone number, the landmark, any delivery instructions you add and the point you pin on the map.
- Your location, only when you tap Use current location or open the map to set your delivery location, and allow it. It fills in your address and tells us whether we deliver there.
- What you say to voice search, only when you tap the microphone. Your phone's own speech service turns it into text; the app receives only the text.
- Photos, only the ones you take or choose to show a problem with a delivered item when you ask for a return or replacement.
- Your feedback on a delivered order, if you give it: how you paid, whether everything arrived in good condition, what you thought of the rider, and any comment you write.
- Codes you type at checkout: a coupon code, or a friend's referral code on your first order.
- A notification token: a code from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging that lets us send notifications to this phone. The app sends it to the shop's server when it opens, with or without an account, with whether your phone allows Qwickmart's notifications and its offers.
- Stock alerts: when you tap Notify me on a sold-out item, the app sends the item and this phone's notification token to the shop's server, so the shop can tell you when it is back.
- Crash reports: if the app stops working, Google Firebase Crashlytics receives a report with the phone model, Android version, app version and what went wrong. It does not include your addresses, cart or orders.
- Your cart, wishlist, recent searches, settings such as language and theme, the items you asked to be told about, and your best score and the number of orders you have delivered in Qwick Rush, the scooter game the app shows while you are offline. The game's best score and orders are kept on your phone only and are never sent anywhere.
Your orders
- When you place an order, we use the items and quantities, the delivery address with its landmark, instructions and the point pinned on the map, the receiver's name and phone number, your mobile number, the payment method you choose and any delivery-partner tip, gift packaging, coupon, friend's referral code, Qwickmart credit or offer applied to the order.
- We use these details to prepare and deliver your order, to contact you about it, to show it in Your orders and to help you if you ask us about it.
- Your orders are kept on the shop's server with these details, the receiver's name and phone number included, and with each step and its time (placed, confirmed, packed, on the way, delivered or cancelled) and, for a cancelled order, the reason. Return requests with their photos, refunds and your feedback are kept with the order.
- The rider who delivers your order sees the receiver's name and phone number, the address with its landmark and instructions, the point pinned on the map, the items and the amount to collect, so the rider can find the address and call the receiver.
- While the rider brings your order, the order page shows the rider's location on a map, sent from the rider's phone. The app does not follow your own location.
- Your cart, saved addresses, wishlist and recent searches stay in the app on your phone.
Your account with the shop
- When you sign in, the shop's server keeps a customer record: your mobile number, your name if you gave one or Truecaller shared it, the date you joined, and a history of your sign-ins (when, and whether with a code, Truecaller or Google Firebase). It lets you stay signed in and see your orders on any phone you sign in on.
- The app keeps a sign-in key for the shop's server on your phone. It ends when you log out or delete your account, or after a year without using the app.
- The shop's owner and staff see your orders, with your mobile number, your name and the receiver's details, to prepare and deliver them. The owner can also see a list of customers with their numbers, names, the date they joined, how many orders they placed and how much they spent.
- If the shop pauses ordering for an account, the account can still sign in and browse; the shop keeps the pause, and its own reason for it, with the customer record.
Coupons, Refer a friend, Qwickmart credit and stock alerts
- Coupons: when an order uses a coupon, the shop's server keeps which coupon it was and how much it took off, to count how many times each customer used it. A cancelled order gives the use back.
- Refer a friend: when the shop offers it, your account gets its own referral code. When a friend uses your code on their first order, the shop's server keeps who invited whom (your number and your friend's) and when, and gives you Qwickmart credit once your friend's order is delivered. You see how many friends used your code and what you earned, never their numbers.
- Qwickmart credit: the shop's server keeps your balance and each change to it, with its date and order: credit earned from a friend, given by the shop (with its note), used on an order, given back with a cancelled order, or run out after the time the shop sets.
- Stock alerts: the shop's server keeps each item you asked about with this phone's notification token, sends one notification when the item is back in stock (never between 10 pm and 7 am), and then keeps the request as answered. Tap We'll tell you to cancel a request.
How we use it
- To sign you in, fill in your delivery details at checkout, show your cart and bill, and handle your orders as described above.
- To check whether an address is within our delivery area, about 10 km of our store in Mathura.
- To send you notifications about your orders, if you allow them: when an order is confirmed, on its way, at your door or delivered, and about returns and refunds.
- While your phone allows Qwickmart's notifications, to send you the shop's own offers: at most 2 a day, and never between 10 pm and 7 am. When you are signed in, the shop may choose which offers reach your phone by whether you have ordered and when you last ordered. We keep a record of which offers were sent to a phone and which were opened.
- To look into a problem you report, such as a damaged item or a payment, and to check how an order was paid when your feedback and the rider's record differ.
- To find and fix problems in the app.
- We do not sell your information and we show no ads from anyone else. The only offers we send are the shop's own, and you can turn them off in your phone's settings.
Payments
- You can pay in cash at your door, or by UPI at your door when the shop offers it: you scan the shop's QR code with your own UPI app, and the rider notes how you paid. Qwickmart does not see your UPI details.
- When the shop offers online payment, it is handled by Razorpay. Razorpay receives the amount and your mobile number, and you enter your card, UPI or bank details in Razorpay's checkout, not in Qwickmart. We receive only Razorpay's payment reference and whether the payment went through.
- A refund is sent by the shop the way you paid, and the order shows when it is sent.
Where it is kept
- Your orders, your customer record, your feedback, return photos and the notification token are kept on the shop's server, which runs on a server rented from Hostinger.
- Your cart, saved addresses, wishlist, recent searches and settings are kept in the app on your phone.
- Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication, which keeps your mobile number with your sign-in account.
- Crash reports go to Google Firebase Crashlytics. Sign-in codes are sent by SMS or WhatsApp through Message Central, or by SMS through Google Firebase Authentication, and one-tap sign-in is confirmed by Truecaller.
- Our sign-in server uses your mobile number and network (IP) address to send codes and prevent abuse; these records are deleted after about 3 days.
Service providers
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Messaging and Crashlytics) keeps your sign-in account, delivers notifications to your phone and receives crash reports.
- Truecaller confirms your mobile number when you choose to continue with Truecaller.
- Message Central sends your sign-in code by SMS or WhatsApp. When the code comes through Google Firebase instead, Google sends the SMS.
- Razorpay handles online payments, when the shop offers them.
- Hostinger rents us the server that keeps the shop's records.
- Google Maps shows the map when you set your delivery location and on the order page while your order is on its way, and receives what you type in the map's search box to suggest places.
- Your phone's location and speech services turn your location into an address and your voice into text when you use those features.
- Each provider handles this information under its own privacy policy.
The Qwickmart website
- The website at qwickmart.in is the same store as the app. It uses the same information in the same ways, with these differences.
- What the app keeps on your phone, the website keeps in your web browser: your sign-in, cart, saved addresses, wishlist, recent searches and settings. Log out removes your sign-in from the browser, and clearing the browser's data for qwickmart.in removes the rest. On a shared computer, log out when you finish.
- Your browser asks before the website uses your location, the microphone, the camera or notifications, and you can turn each of them off in your browser's settings. Voice search works only in browsers that offer it.
- On the website, Google Maps also turns the point you pin on the map into an address. Notifications from the website, if you allow them, come through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and your browser's own notification service.
- Truecaller sign-in and crash reports are not used on the website.
How long we keep it
- Your sign-in account and customer record stay until you delete your account with Delete account.
- Your orders, with their returns, photos, refunds and feedback, are kept on the shop's server as its sales records, also after you delete your account.
- When you delete your account, your name and your feedback comments are removed from the shop's server. Your mobile number, the date you joined and the history of your sign-ins stay with your orders as the shop's records, marked as deleted.
- Your phone's notification token, whether notifications and offers are on (and when they were turned on or off), the app version, and the record of which offers were sent to it and opened stay on the shop's server, also after you delete your account.
- Coupon uses, who invited whom with Refer a friend and the history of your Qwickmart credit are kept on the shop's server with your orders as its records, also after you delete your account. Stock alert requests stay with the phone's notification token.
- Sign-in code requests and the related records on our sign-in server are deleted after about 3 days.
- Crash reports are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
- Your cart, saved addresses and other information in the app on your phone stay until you remove them, delete your account or uninstall the app.
Permissions
- Location: used only when you tap Use current location or open the map to set your delivery location. Microphone: used only when you tap the microphone to search by voice. Notifications: asked the first time you open the app, and once more after your first order if you said no, to send updates about your orders and the shop's own offers. You can turn any of these off in your phone's settings at any time.
- Camera and photos: used only when you add photos to a return request. Your phone's camera takes the photo, or you pick photos from your gallery yourself; the app receives only those photos.
- The app does not read your contacts, call log, SMS messages or files, and it does not collect payment card details: online payments are made in Razorpay's checkout. Your phone may offer to fill in the sign-in code from the SMS. When the code comes through Google Firebase, Android may pass that one message to the app so the code fills in by itself; the app never reads your other messages.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete saved addresses, clear your recent searches and remove wishlist items at any time.
- You can add or change your name in Account, or leave it out.
- To stop offers, turn off Qwickmart's notifications, or only its “Offers and deals” notifications, in your phone's settings; your orders still show in Your orders.
- You can log out from Account whenever you like.
- Delete account, in Account, deletes your sign-in account, removes your name and feedback comments from the shop's server, stops notifications about your orders to your phone, and removes your cart, saved addresses, wishlist and recent searches from the app. Offers can still reach a phone that has the app until you turn them off in the phone's settings. Your past orders stay with the shop as its sales records. You can delete your account once no order of yours is on its way. It cannot be undone.
- You can also ask us to delete your account through Contact & support. We do it within 30 days and tell you when it is done.
